A Few Little Things

Friends, I apologize. I know that I’ve been neglecting you, kind newsletter and blog readers. I only registered today just how badly. (Hmmm, look at all those member only posts…)

Crossroads

Crossroads

In my year-end post, I mentioned being at a crossroads in my life. That’s poetic, but it’s more accurate to say that I’m nearing a freeway interchange in my life.

Where the Moon Rests — Review

Where the Moon Rests — Review

As someone who’s pretty damn invested in astrological timing for magic, I’m always on the look out for new areas to learn about and explore. And I’m all about elevating people who are doing great work in this field! So I want to call attention to an amazing new project launched by a friend and fellow magician, Nate.

2022 – Get Shit Done Right

2022 – Get Shit Done Right

Well, it’s that time of year when it seems like every single small business emails you to tell you about their nifty products and services. I’m going to do something a little different… I’m going to tell you my plans and goals for the coming year and how I will use Circle Thrice products to achieve those goals. Because the truth is that every single thing I offer is something I first created for myself. Not just to try out, but to use regularly to, frankly, save my own ass.

Five Embodied Ways of Knowing

Five Embodied Ways of Knowing

The other night I was laying in bed doing some pre-sleep meditation / journeying when this came into my awareness entirely at once as a small ritual. It was like a direct data download and so I though I’d pass it along, best as I can using words, in case it is of interest.

Beyond Agile: Part Three — The Price of Failure

Beyond Agile: Part Three — The Price of Failure

One of the core characteristics of agile is that it’s very failure tolerant. The premise is that instead of fearing and avoiding failure, you set up systems that support innovation and allow people to fail very fast. The faster you fail, the faster you get to something that is successful… and the more things you try, the better. But this wild and free-wheeling attitude to failure only works when the cost of failure is low.

Beyond Agile: Part One

Beyond Agile: Part One

I’m coming to think that the amount of chaos and uncertainty we’re experiencing right now is too much for out-of-the-box agile to handle. Let me just underline that: we have too much chaos even for a system designed to thrive in chaos.

Hecate’s Key

Hecate’s Key

As you may know, my husband is a magical metal-worker and bladesmith. This key is a lightening rod, bringing the disruptive energy of Uranus down to Earth. It’s also a potent road opener and a direct connection to the Lady of the Dogs (or so She tells me). Hung for protection of the house against harm or chaos, it can also be used in divination to unlock secrets.

The Cancer Grimoire

Those of you who follow my blog know that I spent most of 2020 dealing with a diagnosis of cancer.

I’m currently cancer free and nearly six months out from the end of my — successful — treatment, I have a new project ready for you: The Cancer Grimoire is a record of all the magic I did and that was done on my behalf while I went through cancer treatment — an initiation on the poison path that has fundamentally changed me as a witch, magician, and human being.
